The English Language LGBT Book Club has launched an LGBT Sci-Fi book club group, that will meet once a month.
On 18 June we will discuss this book – it is best if you read it before joining the event – but it is not necessary if you don´t mind spoilers J
“The Darkness Outside Us” by Eliot Schrefer
the evening hosted by Chloe & Roberto:
Two boys, alone in space.
After the first settler onTitan trips her distress signal, neither remaining country on Earth can affordto scramble a rescue of its own, and so two sworn enemies are installed in thesame spaceship.
Ambrose wakes up on theCoordinated Endeavor, with no memory of a launch. There’s more that doesn’t addup: Evidence indicates strangers have been on board, the ship’s operatingsystem is voiced by his mother, and his handsome, brooding shipmate has barricadedhimself away. But nothing will stop Ambrose from making his mission succeed—notwhen he’s rescuing his own sister.
In order to survive theship’s secrets, Ambrose and Kodiak will need to work together and learn totrust one another… especially once they discover what they are truly upagainst. Love might be the only way to survive.
As space is limited, it is best toregister on the meetup app, where we will also have a waiting list in case morepeople sign up than we have space for. Register here.
